Default Your Top 5 games this year!

So while we wait for DD to make us a game sometime in the near near future, how about we talk of the many exciting games coming out this year that have very excited for.

      My number one pick is:
Darksiders 2. Man I cannot wait for this game to come out. More RPG elements, LOOT, lots of customization and what looks to be an epic game by the size of it. I want this now.( I think the whole community here should buy this)

      My second pic is:
Assassin's Creed 3. This game looks beautiful! the animations look super fluid and you get to hunt ANIMALS!!Awesome! I'm slowly playing all the games in the series to prepare me for this one.

      My Third pick is:
Halo 4!! Huge halo fan so you know I'm getting this! see you online when it comes out.

      Fourth pick is:
Resident Evil 6. I'm really hoping that this one brings back the survivor horror back. I really miss the RE days.

      Fifth pick is:
Borderlands 2. I really enjoyed playing the first one with some of you guys so hopefully we can do this all over again.

IF TH2 were to be announced right now I would delete that whole list but until then those are my top 5 games.

My list is pretty similar, man,

      1) Halo 4: Day one buy, day one playthrough, taking a day off, doin' that crap RIGHT.

      2) Assassin's Creed III: Definitely ready to see how this ends, and I love the time period and setting.

      3) Resident Evil 6: Looks like a glorious return to form but still keeping what I loved about RE 4 and 5.

      4) Max Payne 3: Haven't played this yet, but I'm jonesin' to. Love the first two, and I love Rockstar, so I'm hoping for good things.

      5) Mass Effect 3: Haven't played this yet, either. It had to come out the week I was moving, and I still haven't gone back to pick it up...mostly because I can't go 5 minutes without someone telling me how awful it is, so I guess I'm waiting for a really good sale...or my birthday.

That's a hell of a lineup, right there. Yeah.

      1) Probably borderlands 2. I love loot.
      2) Assassin's creed 3. I love stabby time.
      3) Transformers FoC. Giant robots beating the crap out of each other plus the trailers have awesome music...
      4) R.A.W. I like co-op and this game looks pretty cool but was dissapointed by the fact that it's only 2 player co-op.
      5) Halo 4. I still have no idea wth the campiagn was about in the first 3 (btw only played 3 out of the trilogy) but I like the direction they seem to be taking with it. Wish the battle rifle had bloom though. Besides I like that you can again customize your spartan's looks.
5)Resident evil 6. Looks okay but can you be Sheva??? 5 is tied atm but if you can be Sheva it will lock up #5. Maybe even #4.

Out of all of these though I'm only pre-ordering borderlands 2 at first. I normally only pre-order stuff that has cool bonuses. Like a new class. Assassin's creed 3 you get a weapon and a challange map thing. Maybe. Transformers all I can find is a couple new skins and some single player weapons so I'll see whether or not it's good first. R.A.W. you can't pre-order I think plus it has no bonuses and it'll have a demo. Halo 4 you get a camo skin which is worthless in team games which is what I normally play so no.

Mass effect 3 is epic btw. I personally don't like the ending but love the rest of it. Plus I really like the multiplayer. A couple weeks ago it was actually $30 at gamestop. It seems to go on sale a fair amount. It definately has my favorite moment in all of gaming history and something that I've wanted to do for a long long time.

I don't think I have 5 this year. Have not been following games as much lately. It looks like 2013 is going to be the next big one.

      1) Borderlands 2

      2) Darksiders 2. Have not played 1 but am probably going to buy with MS points.

      3) Batman Arkham 2 GOY plan on picking this up.

Lego Batman 2 gets a nod. I will be playing it a lot with my kids as Mason will get it for his birthday.

You better hope your son doesn't frequent this forum or else now he'll know what he's getting... On a side note no children ever should be o this forum with people like me on here. Now that kind of screams pedophile which is not the case, I'm into wrinkles. The older, fatter, and hairier the better... See people this is what I'm talking about. Oh and Raz, I'm pretty sure if TH2 was announced all of our line ups would be changed. Or even dlc would change it for me.

Sweet I got some of you to post.
Yarrr if only DD would just say something. I feel like I'm being tortured every time I think about TH2, though I'm sure they are going through hell trying to figure **** out themselves too.

PG my son's been playing Lego Batman the demo nonstop since it came out. that's my next game for him.
His missing 3 achievements in Lego batman.he's making me proud.

DD did say something. TH2 is coming out Feb 27th 2012. That may or may not be a complete lie. Lego games annoy me even though they're so fun. I just can't put the effort into getting 100% complete on them.

They have shown both playable characters for all three campaigns and none of them are Sheva. Doesn't mean she won't show as a cameo or in Mercenaries mode, though.

I think it's kind of silly to establish Chris with a new partner and then ditch her right away for another generic white dude. Eh, we'll see.

1.) Dragon's Dogma - hugely underrated and now a franchise with the capability to be a console Monster Hunter

2.) Amalur: Reckoning - they made Fable and Elderscrolls re-examine themselves (whether Beth Soft or Lionhead want you to think it or not)

3.) Warrior's Lair/ R.A.W. - console isometric RPGs are great because they make PC fanfolks have to tip their hats when they're done right

      4.) Guild Wars 2 - do I need a reason?

5.) Guardians Of MIddle Earth - MOBA on the console, love Awesomenauts and Masters of Belial but this looks like it could make the PC purists grind their teeth

If we're counting games that have already released then I have to change my list a bit, but mine is for games that haven't been released yet.

I didn't pay much attention to E3 this year but I know of a few games coming out I'm pretty excited about. Namely continuations of my favorite series'.

      For starters,
      1. Assassin's Creed 3-- I've been waiting for a proper AC since the first. Every game has just had that feeling that they left something out in my book but this time it really feels like they're bringing the whole package. Super stoked

      2. Borderlands 2-- Pretty self-explanatory. Great followup to a great game

      3. Dishonored--Immediately after watching the trailer for this game I've wanted it, but the gameplay I saw perplexed me. It looks quite Bioshock-esque and I'm interested in trying it out.

      4. Splinter Cell-- It's Splinter Cell, it's badass. Saw a lot of things that made me tick

      5. Halo 4-- This would be further up the list but me and Halo left off on a bitter note with Reach when they de-ranked my account, but that's another story. Regardless, the franchise is under new supervision with new ambition and it looks promising. I still love Halo so I no doubt am giving it a go, but likely not buying it unless the changes are significant
