You know what will happen if they continue to stay silent right? people here are going to log out of this site one by one.
I'm not sure what SK is planning to do, but staying silent for the rest of this year is not a good idea.

TH2 and 3 should be combine into one game or release it on XBLA like you're suggesting.
I've been saying this for a while now and I should say it again, They need to work on smaller games like Double fine is doing. I'm sure they can make small games if they wanted to.

If they are having such a hard time making it big, then start small first.

SK is, just like their current publishing partner, a rather silent company after all. Otherwise we would've seen more of the cancelled The Ritualist or some of their prototypes, such as Siren. With other companies, images like the following would've been long circulating.

You also need to consider that they are in a pretty difficult situation at the moment. The lawsuit appears to be rather costly (4 mio USD for Epic + lawyer fees).

In my opinion, the court decision came at the worst time possible. Next week is E3 and if there's too much buzz about this trial, the actual announcement might go under.

In the end, they may need to do that, even when that's not what Dyack's vision is. However, they better not continue with the TH franchise if they want to stay in business :/

So let's see if SK's Wii U title gets announced next week. If it isn't, I expect the worst.

It would be hard to use other consoles for TH continuation, in the event that it happened, with the games being published by MS.

If any other company or developer or franchise were the topic I would agree, but Dyack comes off as a "never say die" sort. And, regardless of the Too Human franchise's reception I would argue it is now their best known game just barely ahead of Eternal Darkness due to all of this. The way it was presented prior to release and before the E3 showing and media backlash it was considered to be one of the most - if not the most - anticipated launch title for the system.

Go off this site and look at the "comments" sections on kotaku or gamefaqs regarding the Epic lawsuit and its conclusion and you see more support than dislike.

When Dyack closes the doors and auctions off his last #2 pencil and the building is parted-out to make an addition on the St. Catherine's Women's Correctional Facility I will still have hope and support this game BECAUSE that is exactly what this generation of games and gamers is devoid of and that's ultimately what it needs. Maybe not this year, or next year, or in ten years, but whenever the next iteration comes, and come it will, I'll be ready.

All I want to know is...who's coming down this insane road of hope with me?

I'm fresh out of hope. Blind faith is for religious types.

I'll stick with a passive interest that could immediately turn to joy if things turn around, though.

I'm certainly going down that road! I won't give up on it unless DD tells us himself that it will not be made.

      won't ever happen.

Announcing a property as dead makes 0 sense. What does it accomplish? Nothing. It turns off current customers, and nothing else.
Just because Im a priest doesn't mean I don't get off on watching rogues die.......? Wrong game? oh.... Just because Im a defender doesn't mean I like getting hit in the head, it just means Im better at it. I think.... Im dizzy.

Yeah same here. What with all the talk of the trial I thought I'd boot up the game for the first time the other night. It was really late (and I was back from the pub) but I still managed to find some random guy online to play with. We spent hours running through HoH gunning down goblins with pistols. What a freakin' blast ...

The way I look at it is simple - other titles and companies have gone under or closed or disappeared over less and others have persisted through more. Hellgate London comes to mind as a veritable miracle and proof that anything can happen to perpetuate an IP.

Guirec's right, blind faith is for religious types, so I'll ground mine in the character of SK and Denis Dyack.

Based on a couple posts back regarding the dire twitter tweet/etc. I can't say it isn't a bad situation - it just isn't over until its over.

Well, I donīt considerate myself as a religious type, I mean, I do believe in God, the same way I believe in love, but I donīt believe in the creationism, I think that the evolution theory fits much more on our reality. However, just like love, faith is a powerful source of energy, and if you have faith in something, you can have faith in many things, it doesn't matter the number of things you have faith on, your faith power never ends.

That being said, I do believe that, just like myself, DD is a reasonable faithful man. He will overcome this situation, and I will play TH2 at some point in the future. TH development path wasn't easy at any point, since it was first announced, for the game cube...
