Thread: spider runes question

      Default spider runes question

      For my left tree build I was thinking of adding runes to help with missile defense. Is that suggestible?

      Same question with spider for right side.

      If yes to either, what runes should i use.

      The main runes for spiders are damage, duration (lets them last longer) and cool down (you can use them more often). I use both on my unstoppable Bio build. Some spiders do have specific runes I think but it has been a while so not sure which ones get them. I think one is for the defender laser spider??

      If you do use the spider a lot then it is a usable build choice. The plasma spider can get really powerful and is good for distracting enemies. You should probably use a spare piece of armor to test it out to see if it is worth it to you.

      That's a good call. I was thinking of using the anti missle spider.

      That anti missile spider is amazing. I'm not sure if I would use the increased spider anti missile duration because then it lasts for so much longer until you can use it again if you're moving... Definately cooldown I have though on my cyber laser pistol commando.

      Axeman tested a fully maxed out anti-missile spider and it lasted for seriously over 15 minutes. With cooldown maxed it was insane, you were untouchable.

      I think we concluded that you didn't really NEED to max it out. You could still get 5-7 minutes a pop with one red rune (it takes two to max it out) but you shouldn't need it to last that long compared to buffing other stats.

      So one Anti-Missle rune should be enough? Or should I go with radius, or not even bother buffing the spider?

      I would start with your character and weapon buffs before you focus on the spider. Play a few times with the set up you are thinking about mius the spider and see if you think you still need to buff te spider. Most people I have played with pretty much abandon the spider at 50. Do you still rely on you spider a lot now? What level is your commando now?

      The spider is nice in areas of Helheim for those few missiles that get launched before your ricocheting bullets of doom get to the launchers. I have one red rune on it, I pop it two or three times per Helheim run if memory serves.

      You should have two red Metalstorm Impeller charms to make that ricochet happen, of course. Sorry if you know all this stuff already, there's a lot that goes into a "finished" character.
