      Default Darth Plagueis

So I am sure everyone who is a fan of Star Wars remembers Palpatine mentioning Darth Plagueis. Well recently they released a book about him. I listened to the Force-Cast round table about this book and from the sound of it unlike 99% of all EU books this book seems like it is actually good and is a must read to really understand what is going on in the Star Wars movies and Clone Wars TV series. I'm not going to mention any of the spoilers that I heard on the ForceCast, but I know I am defiantly going to pick this book up when I have the time. If anyone is interested in knowing what happens but doesn't want to read it I would suggest listening to the podcast at http://forcecast.net/story/home/Spec...ble_143723.asp.

I will have to say the most interesting part of the story, from what I know, is when Darth Plagueis is killed by Palpatine. It isn't when you would think it happened.

What's the book called please? I still remember a long time ago when one of the books about Obi-Wan and Anakin was only in a first edition or something and it cost like $50 just for a used copy and no libraries had it... That's when I stopped reading Star Wars for the most part.

      It is called Darth Plagueis.

I stopped reading too, although it was more because of quality. When I was younger I was more willing to read or watch crap. Although I think this book is a little different since unlike most Lucas had input and is more directly tied into the events of the movies. It isn't something that some random author thought up on their own with no Lucas input.

I actually have this book. As soon as I finish the book I am currently reading this is next on my list. I too have heard great things about this book, especially compared to the usual drek that gets pushed out the door with "A Long time ago in a galaxy far far away..." in the title. I used to get them all, nut as I get older, I have left my blind fanboy devotion to all things Star Wars behind. I still love the original three movies and the Zahn novels, but the rest of them just don't seem worth my time for the most part, although there have been some exceptions.

Funny, I saw this book the other day.
I was about to pick up the new ME novel but I changed my mind.

So I decided to just get the audiobook so I can "read" it as I do work, and I have to say so far it is living up to expectations.

Finished the book, this book changes how you view everything, at least for someone who doesn't read any other EU.
