      Default Anti-missile Duration + Spider Duration

      The question came (by Guirec) up of whether or not the Spider Duration Rune would stack with the Anti-Missile Duration Rune. This was in reference to the Anti-Missile Spider “Bullet-Tree”, available to the Commando Class on the Left Path.

      As this question has not been addressed in any FAQ’s thus far, I spent an afternoon finding out. Here are the results.

      This test was done at the beginning of Hall of Heros. All enemies were dispatched off, excluding one Rocket Goblin that was used for the experiment. As The Spider Deploy time may have varied had it not been in use, or functional, I used real time missiles against The Spider.

      This test was done in one sitting, therefore there are no variables. Each time was also tested twice.

      The Commando was running +4 All Skills. Spider was capped with 10 Skills Points totalling a +70% bonus.

      NOTE - After TEST RESULTS I will use abbreviations. SD = Spider Duration. AMD = Anti-missile Duration.

      ----- TEST RESULTS #1 ------
      Spider Duration - NO BUFFS = 1:49 / 105 seconds. (Flat Duration)
      Spider Duration - +20% Spider Duration = 2:04 / 124 seconds (roughly +20% of Flat Duration)
      Spider Duration - +31% Anti-missile Duration = 3:10 / 190 seconds (roughly +81% of Flat Duration)

      RESULT 1 = This proves that SD does have an affect on the Anti-missile Spider and therefore both SD and AMD Runes will stack.

      RESULT 2 = The SD Rune and AMD Rune have very different results on the % increase. The SDR increase the base time by 20% as indicated. The AMD however, does not and the increase is significantly longer. This led me to further test the AMD Rune.

      ----- TEST RESULTS #2 ------
      Spider Duration - +60% AMD = 11:29 / 629 seconds (roughly +500% of Flat Duration)

      RESULT 3 – That’s right. With AMD maxed at +60%, it lasted a whopping 11:29 minutes! This was not idle, but actively shooting down missiles the whole time.

      I have run the math every way I can think of by adding +60% to the Skill itself but it doesn’t even come close and I cannot figure out how +60% equals such a massive jump.

      Anyway… suffice to say that the Left Path Spider has been greatly under appreciated.

      Enjoy PS. FYI - 9 mintues Spiders are also true. How embarassing we dont know this allready.

      great test bud, it's cool that it'll last that long...although i'm not sure i would need it to last that long...lol

      wish the shield spider would last that long...

      Thanks for the clarification.

      11 minutes is sweet, but it's hard to justify putting more than 4 points into the skill on the tree (with slugs, I suppose with plasma you can free up enough by not filling up the slog RoF skill).

      Yeh, you wouldn't need it to last that long or spend 10 Skills Points.

      I put it to 14 (10 +4) for the test however, as its MUCH easier to record a 20% increase if the flat duration rate is increased.

      I tried it with just 6 points (4 +2 only, as had 2 Charms equiped I am trying to complete) and the result was....

      Flat Rate = 42 Seconds.
      SP +20% = 43.5 Seconds.

      This small increase could have been human error so I had to increase the flat duration as much as possible to get some accurate results.

      Safe to say that SD does work, but the increase has nothing on the AMD Rune. The AMD Rune may even be broken (in a good way) as the increase is well above any % increase that can be accounted for with the numbers.

      Was wondering this myself but isn't an 11 minute spider a drawback? Then you have to wait 11 more minutes for it to start cooldown when you leave that area. So no Klabamo for at least 11 mins.

      They spider will follow you if you redeploy it as you move so it can be used in new areas.

      Are you kidding me? Now I feel incredibly dumb. So you just press Y again after you get to where you need it? I still feel like such a noob at this game compared to everyone else on this forum. I've only put like 600 hours into it compared to everyone else's thousands. Thank you PG for making me feel stupid yet actually smarter but also making my spider a giant F U to those missle goblins. Also am I the only one who calls them anal goblins?

      It's fine to have 11 minutes, but it isn't necessary to use your points that way. You might be good through most of HoH but the rest of the levels are too long to have it out the whole time. Most fights are over in under a minute with a Commando, and then you can start the recharge.

      As it stands, mine lasts about 3-4 minutes, so I'll make it through a few fights with it before it takes a break. It's not a deal breaker in most fights anyway, just a nice bonus to make you feel even more ridiculously tough than you already did.

      Yeah I have my points the way I want them but I am willing to put a spider anti missle duration in my gear. I figure one red rune for that in exchange for 2 red cooldown runes
