Machete (Grindhouse Movie)

I am sure some of you guys watch the Grindhouse movies from Rodriguez and Tarantino a few years ago. Well in the movie they had a mock trailer for Machete with Danny Trejo. The fans wanted more and it seems Rodriguez made a script and they are going to release a movie this fall.

It has a pretty good line-up with Danny Trejo, Michelle Rodriguez, Steven Seagal, Cheech Marion and Robert DeNero. Also Lindsay Lohan is suppose to have a nude screen in it.

Sweet. I remember that trailer. It was piss funny and remember thinking that the brief trailer in the movie, was better than the movie itself.

And poor LL, I guess getting her kit off is the career choice she has ATM. What a train wreck she turned out to be.

I was excited for this movie until I heard Lindsay was in it, but that news counters that prejudice. It's now worthy of my time again.

I had a lot of fun watching the Grindhouse movies, but Rodriguez is dead to me for Predators. ;-)

Verily. I think Preds would have been better if he had actually directed. His story was unsalvageable, but his direction could have given it the goofy charm of From Dusk Till Dawn...or, for a more direct parallel, Predator 2.

Yeh, I havent seen the latest Predator flick (I'm afraid I will be dispointed again), but this series has been going steadily downhill since Predator 2.

They should just get John McTiernan to direct another one. His work on the first is afterall, what made Predator famous.

I thought Grindhouse was a soulless affront to film that relied on style at the cost of everything else good. So more of that isn't very interesting.

Awesome. Incredibly entertaining, everything I expected and then some. Funny as hell, over the top action flick with a great sense of character and style.

My buddy and I, loved it. But then again, we both really enjoy Rodriguez and Tarantino flicks.

Oh, and Lohan... don't worry about her. She has a very minute role, and yes, 50% of it involves her being in the buff.

i don't mind LL being in the movie, provided her speaking part is about 10% or less of her appearance and 90% being in the nude. lulz, SB quality imo. if'n yall know waht i mean kekeke.

Entertaining films, not great films tho. honestly feel its 2 (potentially 3) of their most mediocre films.
just another run of the mill overstylized mindless entertainment, thats fine with me ill see it, wont own it.
My favorites worth owning from tarantino and rodriguez films: El Mariachi, Desperado, From Dusk Til Dawn, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, Sin City, Resvoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction.

No, you're absolutely right. If you're looking for a great story with deep characters that you'd give your life for, you won't find that here... move along.

If you're looking for something entertaining that makes you go, "Holy ****! That was awesome!" because you're a man, and you like copious amounts of badassery. You'll get that in spades here. Some women would enjoy this too though... just none that I know .
