I'm with you on this as well Shayn.
The only game I look forward to playing this year hopefully, is God Of War 3, and that is because the first two were so freaking awesome, that I know this one will be awesome as well.
Other than that, there is no other game I want more than TH2 at this moment.
What I want is more epic boss battles. I know Henry's stance on this and, honestly, if he can't figure out a way to make them just as epic as God of War's Quick-Time Events are within normal gaming structure, then I suggest he and the SK team bite the bullet and go for epic.
I respect Henry's opinion and position as a dude in charge (can't remember his exact title), but I honestly think it would be in the game's best interests to implement QTEs if SK can't come up with a better solution. Clearly the current one isn't optimal.

I agree with you on this Castrum.
For the longest time, I thought it was going to be like GOW when it came to fighting bosses, but instead they went the other way, like most games.
Why have the QTE on just the trolls, when they could of expand this to the Spiders and all the bosses?
If the second game doesn't have QTE, then how about using your surroundings to bring down your enemies(Bosses) GOW did this too also, and it works perfectly.
If they decide to go with neither of this, then The boss battles have to be Epic as hell!!
I have a quick example on the Grendel fight, If Baldur took his arm off in the cinematic, then we couldn't do it in real time for the second time?
it would of been funny as hell to have Grendel with a new arm, only to be taken off once again by Baldur. that would have been great to see.
Or how about maybe using the sarcophagus circling around to fall down on Grendel as you box him in with those flames coming out of the ground?
SK really needs to look at the possibilities this stuff brings to gameplay, I think it'll make it an even better game.
Possibilities like these and with the ability of having co-op can open up all kinds of great gameplay for this game.

I don't think that qte are such a good idea. While they do work for some games I'm not so sure it would work for too human.
The basic premise of the game has always been to make you feel like a god. Personally I don't think having limited control of a character and being told press this button now is very godly. I really don't see them going that route though as just from playing the first game you can really tell they were shooting for a figure it out for yourself feel(which they succeded, maybe a little too well at times ) I just don't see them going that way in the first game then walking you through the boss battles in the second
Qte is a good thing that they could fall back on if they can't come up with some other ba way to fight bosses. But I hope that they do t have to resort to that
They don't need to heavily rely on it for everything like Ninja blade is doing, what I would like to see is for the idea to be expanded to bosses. I'm not asking too much.lol
No QTE's. Environment interaction, with combos. Be able to jump off of a wall and come down on top of the enemy. Dismemberment too!
I'd love to see goblins fall to pieces... and trolls crawl around with their remaining arm after I removed their legs and hammer for my own sick amusement.
Also, I would recommend making the air combat more fluent, instead of pausing mid air, how about latching on to the enemy and bashing on them, then when they are done, leap off of (what's left of) their body, and latch on to the next guy, and repeat until you fall back to the ground. Make air time determine the height of your leap, and when you catch a guy in the air, you'll carry him up with you as you beat on him, and at the half way point you'll begin to fall, bringing enemies down with you that you latch on to next.

I would love to see that Red, but I would also love to see some QTE's too.
Why stop with the trolls? how about using QTE's on the Spiders too?
I was thinking that as well. But it wouldn't work very well if the camera is going to remain as it is. It would be weird as heck to try and slide to points on a wall if your still looking at ground level. But I'm sure they could figure out a way to make it work if they wanted to.
ehhh one thing i keep hearing on this thread is qte... i'm sorry but... those arn't needed qte just don't work at all... one of the reasons i got tired of battles in god of war series... i mean i did like how the quick time event for trolls were just pressing a to get on the back of it and such... it was cool and all but we really don't need just qte .... however dismemberment would be cool...
truthfully though i think th2 is going to be a great game and hopefully something we hear about in the near future... their hasn't been any news on it in forever... which has me worried....
I'm not a dedicated fan of QTEs either, but TH's current system is miles away from being epic. Hell, you're not even using your slide against the boss half the time, which is your most overt god-like ability.
Personally, I would prefer QTEs that look epic over this current half-assed system.

I woulda liked some of the people bosses to fight more. Like Hod or Hel, they kinda just bounce around and leave you chasing them. It would be cool to have some epic sword play between two gods and such.
I think that the troll mounting thing needs a little re-working. The animation of him balancing looks a little cheesy

Vikings who believe in these gods used Axes more then anything. I was disappointed not to see any u can use. In single player the idiots in the wolf pack have them.
I was thinking about this awhile back. I honestly dont think there is gonna be. Other questions come to mind when asking this question.
We will be able to take those new classes and play TH? The answer is most likely not. I'd like to see more classes, but I cant think of any that would fit in this myth. Something that we can believe that its possible. Commandos was pushing it. Vikings believed that Archers (ranged warriors) were cowards and thought they would never go eat mead and drink with ODIN. However they are history records that said they do use Bows and Arrows. Infact they invented one of the most powerful Bows in its time.

Something in my mind is rambling about that statment but i cant remember it completely.
The only thing I can see is adding a new skill tree. If you look between your class skills and your alignment skill tree. It looks like there is a big enough spot for a new skill tree.
