Do you love pwning people with your managerial skills and talking **** throughout the season? GREAT! Then I want you! Every year since '95 I have commished a few fantasy baseball leagues. I would like to invite any baseball fan of the TH community to join my friends and I this year for some good times this season. Please email or pm with your email address if you are interested in joining. The leagues are typically Yahoo! leagues, which are
H2H format, with a 2 week playoff schedule. Many stats, many chances to pwn. Other leagues are also point based H2H as well through ESPN. Anyways, contact me if you are interested since the season is approaching quickly. Pitchers and Catchers report this weekend!

3/8 EDIT:

You have been invited to join Gabriel's custom league in Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Baseball.

Fantasy sports leagues is the dungeons and dragons for those who claim to be too cool for dungeons and dragons. That and i'm all full on fantasy leagues. :-)

How about him? Unfortunately, I am not surprised. The only person who could surprise me at this point where the use of PEDs are concerned would be Jeter. I will hate to look back on this time in baseball and share with my grandkids about how the home run champions of my time were juiced up and fake. As a Yankee fan, I hate him for bringing this unnecessary scrutiny to the club house, but will support him until the playoffs.

By all full on fantasy leagues do you mean, actually I have room for at least 1 fantasy baseball league this year. I would love to join you Nicholbert! No? Yes?

Where are all the sports fans? I know we are all video game nerds, but I know there are more sports guys on here than this!

As a Yankee fan, I hate him for bringing this unnecessary scrutiny to the club house, but will support him until the playoffs.

It didn't really add scrutiny, it just changed the topic, the Yankees are always under crazy scrutiny in the spring. This is the 3rd year in a row the Yanks have had the same steroid questions at spring training (Giambi/Sheffield, Pettite/Clemens) so it isn't something that new or hard for them. If they didn't get the A-Rod questions the Daily News would just be asking them about the ridiculous spending in a recession while the taxpayers foot the bill for a stadium, if Burnett can make it through a non contract year healthy, and trying to get Sabathia on a scale. :)

The one bright thing is it is keepiing some reporters away from the Red Sox facility. A-Rod basically prevented 100 inevitable stories about Varitek showing up at spring training with his tail between his legs in the Boston papers.

A few of my friends and I tried to make a list of people who we could say with certainty weren't juicers but were very good players through the steroid era. There were obviously very few people that we couldn't at least have some question or suspicion about. I am sure there are more but there is so much doubt about everyone now these are the only names noone questioned. So this is what we got in the end, the only names where nobody said "I think he could have been on PEDs".

Ripken, Gwynn, Boggs, Biggio, Griffey, Frank Thomas, Pedro, Randy Johnson, Curt Schilling, Rivera, Jeter, Mussina, Ichiro, Smoltz, Glavine, Maddux, Trevor Hoffman, Santana, Roy Oswalt, Chipper Jones, David Wells, Vlad Guerrero

Everyone else was at least shot down by one person of the 5 in the conversation.
