Google has officially launched there new version of Google Earth.
in the 5.0 version of "Earth" google has added the ability to view the worlds oceans in detail. while you might not think thats such a big deal its actually a feature that i thought they were really lacking in as i was searching all over the worlds oceans to find myself a good secret island hideout(seriously) only to find the words Google earth over and over again. Not only can you view the ocean's surface but you can also see detailed scans of the ocean's floor.

The update also added a historical cache of photos that allow you to view a location as it ages over time.

Maybe the coolest part of the new version of Earth is the ability to view the surface of Mars! thats right, Mars. using a compilation of photos from the Mars missions you can use google earth view mars in the same way that you do earth. MARS!!!

Pitcairn Islands.... Seriously check it out on the CIA world factbook. There is like nobody there. Theres a story that their economy took a dive because a handful of people got arrested or something like that, that handful represented about half the labor force =P

In my soph year i joked about getting a group of buddies to take it over before they could get the call off for britains protection! >)

I think you just gave me something to do in computer tech tomorrow! Everyone is lacking in computer knowledge in that class so I get bored and play tower defense games most of the period....
