Definitely saw some technology that I'd be willing to use in the future.

The one thing that really stood out to me was the wireless power. Being able to stick your phone on a counter surface and have it charge without plugging any wires into sounds really cool. Also the technology behind it is very interesting. Being able to recognize where the device is, how much power it needs, how old the device is, as well as knowing when to stop suppling power to it. They were demonstrating on how you could setup your whole house that way and wouldn't need to run wiring behind walls for lights or TV's.

Another piece of technology that interested me was the 3D glasses for the PS3. Interesting to be able to see 3D through your TV. I'm not too sure about the technology behind it because they weren't saying how it works but I would give it a try. The only thing is, they were saying it's a manipulation of the hardware. With that I don't know if it's just an update you can do to your PS3 or if it's actually the TV that makes it 3D.

There were tons of others stuff too but It would take me way too long to type them all out.

If the 3D thing is anything like the old movies you could watch on your TV then I dont see it being worth it for game play. Those always sucked...

The electricity thing sounds pretty cool though.

I thought the OLED tech was rather.. unimpressive, tbh. I mean, what's the benefit?

An O in front?

Lol, the wireless power idea intrigues me, but how does it work?

Will it radiate my head? :o

I've been thinking about that non-stop, even before CES.

I mean, if controllers and power are wireless, soon, so will Audio and video components.

(I'm Talking about consoles)

Couldn't the wireless power thing be possibly dangerous? I mean... it's turning the surface into a part of the circuit, couldn't you easily shock yourself or short out anything if the surface was damp?

I have been out of service so i havent actually checked these things out... just presuming how they work.

@PLOWKILL
- Hell no! 3D has come soo far in the last few decades. It is amazing better.

It uses some sort of magnetic induction. Basically you attach a special pad to your device and when the pad connects to the surface it draws the current through.

The one they showed on XBL is better though, they have whole counters and walls set up with it, so that it looks just like a regular counter and wall but when you plop the items on them they start charging =)

if you guys know anyone with a sonic care brush, thats how it charges itself.

place it on a stand, and it charges. even if the device is still wet/toothpaste covered whatever.
