Graphics: 8
The graphics are good. the character models are not bad, not the best, but not bad for the 360. During combat, the texture of baldurs armor tends to just fade into the background that one cannot truly appreciate the detailedness of it. But all in all, the graphics are not lame. My one big problem is entering into cyberspace. Its like the place is dead, no interaction, just stillness, no life. Static colors and imagery. Sk should have done a lot more with Cyberspace.
Gameplay: 8
Innovative controls. As opposed to the point and click that is offered on most PCs or button mashers, SK came out with sliding for your protagonist. I was a wow player for 4 yrs, point and click, and hit a button every cooldown gets sooo old; interactive pointing, now Sk made my day with this one, and it works well most of the time. The targetting needs a bit of work, but it's not detrimental to game play (some times). 4 dungeons with changing enemies as you level helps with replayability, but I wish the dungeons changed. The different paths one can take in Helheim is a good starting point, and they should implement this more in future maps/dungeons. And maybe add a different boss for which ever path you choose. Or or...bosses with polarities! Co-op is good, but there needs to be a more balanced system for pairing up random players.
Sound: 8
The sound track is appropriate and epic. Combat "sound" is good. They need to work on the soud effect of the hybrid pistols and slug pistol.
Story: 7
The implementation of the story into gameplay is average. There is a certain disconnect from dungeon crawling and the storyline. The story was intriguing, and it made me want to know what was happening, but I didnt get that sense of "No f'ing way!!...yadi yadi yadda". I can't quite put my finger in it, but at the end of the story where the truth about Baldur was revealed did not hit home as hard as it should have.
Replayability: 7
Theres only so many times I want to hit goblin 91210 in different polarities for the 1 millionth time.
Overall (not an average of above): 8
I enjoyed the game. I still play it every now and then, and I patiently await its sequel.
