(don't ask about the title)

But, i read about what is going to be added to clothing....

Such as, blood pressure monitors, heart rate monitors, ect.

All displayed in a nifty little wrist watch!

Also, I think we should have suits, that recycle dead skin cells, sweat, ect.
into energy.....for some....usage i can't think of :P

anyway, thoughts?

I think its a good idea. But I wouldn't want any on me. I can understand this for the older generations who need constant monitoring so they don't die. But I don't need to know how badly my body isn't working. :p

But i think with the current obesity crisis, the market for these "suits" would be HUGE

Edit: Pun somewhat intended

Huge indeed.
Americans don't need state of the art close to tell them they're fat (maybe to spend money on). That tech. has been around for well just about forever...and suprisingly enough its not just for myspace. Anyone care to guess?

This is why I plan on getting rid of all my organic components the first chance I get, how can you all live with that water inside you? Doesn't it drive you crazy...I know it does for me.

All those nerves throwing electricty around, all willy-nilly, in your body comprised of mostly water?

Yeah, me too, actually :p

See now this is going to bother you forever...or not. Doesn't really matter now that I think about it. Anyway I have just one more thing to say on the subject, Robot eyes!

I think this is a great topic. Took you guys long enough! I pretty much posted most on the old Real World of Technology forums, and I wanted to let others bring up the topics this time.

I would love to augment my body with as much technology as possible. I think that with emerging technologies like nanotech, the possibility is closer than many people think. With those augmentations, we would be able to live for drastically longer than our currently flawed biological bodies can last. Unless of course we can manipulate our genes to stop aging (which is a reasonably possible situation).

Of course, I love to think about this stuff, and I may be alone in how I feel about it, but I feel like it would be the catalyst of more change in the way we live and how we govern ourselves. The way we do business, and what it means to do business.

To me, life at its best would be total freedom. I would not be forced to go to school and participate in systems that I do not agree with. I would be able to sleep in until I felt refreshed, and I would be able to stay up until I felt tired. No one to tell me what to do, no one to hold my quality of life over my head (a boss).

I have diabetes, and getting augmented with an artificial pancreas would help me to live a longer, higher quality life. I hope that we can do this.

I more or less see it as a way of getting past these annoying constraints that...natural life forms possess. I mean if you could get robot eyes which had the ability to shoot lasers out of them, what wrong with that!

And I haven't been that active in this forum, but I'm bored and since I don't like me when I'm bored I decided to not be bored. You get me?
