Character Select Screen and Epic (Red) Armor Correlation...

When you choose your class when creating a new toon are the models you see the Epic Armor sets? I am just curious if anyone has received any Reds for their toons that match the class select screen.

I ask this because I finally got my Red helmet for my Human Defender and it's kinda lame looking (Err I hate lame looking gear!!) and was hoping it would look just like the one on the character select screen. So I am curious to know if anyone has gotten the Cyber Defender's Epic Helm and if it looks like the one on the class select screen.

cant say for sure, i can say, however, that my epic cyber defender helm looks kinda like something a knight would where from medieval times. picture that and compare it, i dont have a new char created yet, nor do i have the motivation to check,lol

Yes, it does look like the character select armor, i have the helm, gloves and boots. For a cyber defender, i was hoping my armor would be ALOT bulkier than that stuff. The oranges im wearing now make me look like a truck, and the stats are much better : / All the set pieces go down the middle path for defenders which is all but useless since theres no 4 player coop. Buncha tank stats and bonus's for only 2 ppl=lose :(

Well that's lame then since I have a Human Defender I was hoping my Elite Red set would look like the one on the class select screen, which I think looks very pimp.

So the Defender pic on the character select screen is the Cyber armor Elite set, so we have that established.

Does anyone have any reds from any of the other classes that match the class select screen? If so please post your alignment.

I'm all about how the gear looks, especially the end game stuff. You say your Cyber Reds for the Defender are for the middle tree skills? Perfect, that's exactly my spec.

lol, the only reason im lookin for the armor is for that god forsaken achievement. But even the gear contradicts itself. Its all about the middle tree, which is all about survivability and defending yourself, so you would imagine that the weapon for the set is a mace+shield right? no, its a 2h sword with lamer attack power than a level 45 orange. wtf! but you say that the human defender armor looks different, whats it look like? is it even called the same as my set? mines called the Ward of ODIN or something like that.

From what I have read, I believe there are two sets of Epic armor for each class.

Yes there are 2 Elite (red) sets per class, one for Humans and one for Cybers.

I had a feeling the models on the class select screen were the epic armor sets but wondered if it was for the Cyber or Human alignments.

I have only the Human Elite Helmet and it looks like a medieval knight style thing, it's not super ugly but nothing cool like the class select model, which is the Cyber set.

The armor is called the "Sentinel" and the set bonuses focus right down the left tree, which I don't use (lame). Also the weapon for the set is a Dual-wield hammer and shield which is really cool looking.

A 2H Sword is the Elite set weapon for the Cyber set? That's really lame, I've never even used a sword ever with my Defender!!!

BAH! lemme guess, the mace+shield is the red mace with the angel wings shield isnt it? thats mega lame, was hoping to find that but if its human aligned, looks like im screwed.

You got it, it looks like two big glowing wings and the mace is pretty normal looking, but still cool.

I still can't believe the Cyber Epic set has a Sword for the 7th piece, that's so weird.

It's almost like we have to play the game, find the equipment we want our characters to wear, then create another character that will actually benefit from that type of armour, lol....well I was wondering where the replayability would be....

Eh, what I have of the Altruist gear looks cool, so I can only hope that the rest of it looks just as good. As for the epics, I don't even have one for level 50. Just the Helm and Leggings for the level 30 set.

i see the epic hammer and shield all the time in my shop all the time, its called epic something of the jordsvikings. i'd get it but i'm a bezerker so i dont see the point.

all i know is if the human bezerkers armor is the one on the main screen my game can keep that ****. the armor i have on him now is bigger then anything i've seen defenders with. :twisted:

Cybernetic alignment is considered the heavy damage alignment, so I suppose that might add some logic to the 2H-Sword vs. Hammer+Shield decision. Also, does the rest of the set have status effect procs? 2H weapons have a bonus to status effects so that also might explain it.

I don't know if any of you guys have the guide because I do. It tells you the stats on the epic stuff. I will not give anything away unless you want me to. There are two sets of lvl 50 Epic armor one is a blueprint one is not. Now me and my brother in law were playing coop I picked up an epic piece of a random Dark elf leader I knew it was epic because it was totally differnt from other sounds and the little pic was different. So I got excited opened up my inventory. Now i'm a Human Zerker he is a Cybernetic Commando. It was not alignment specfic it was class specfic it was for him that bastard. It was the Blueprint so he had to craft it and it is not like the selection screen. So I hope that helps.

The only epic I've found was a epic Human helmet. I'm a cyborg berserker and I was kinda upset. I've seen epics in the shop as well...but they were for humans! Haven't seen any epics for cyborgs yet.

Yea, so ur a zerker, im ASSUMING ur human, if thats the case then its irrelevant cuz im cyber, i obv wont see it, though, if ur cyber and u see the shield, ****in buy that ****, ill pay u double w/e u payed for it lol

iv seen the defender epic weapons and the zerker epic weapons and the epic greatsword and i have some gauntlets which look kinda like the gauntlets off the champion something of the aesir it costs over a mill to craft them

So for anyone that is still interested, here's my breakdown on Elite Armor sets and "how" they may look based on what you see in the Class Select Screen models.....

Champion = the Human Elite set (this is 100% confirmed)
Defender = the Cyber Elite set (this is 100% confirmed)
Berserker = the Human Elite set (this is speculation)
Commando = the Cyber Elite set (this is speculation)
Bio-Engineer = the Cyber Elite set (this is speculation)

My speculation on the 3 above comes from that I believe those alignments are the most logical choice that SK thought players would choose. But just my opinion of course.

So for any of you wondering what your Elite set may look like the above will really help. As for the other alignments not mentioned above, it will be a surprise I guess until someone posts a pic of those completed sets.

I believe that's the level 30 elite set for your character. The shame of it is that you're likely to not complete the set because I only found three things (chest, head (which was just Baldur's head) and his gauntlets) before I started finding stuff that was pretty much better in every conceivable aspect.

Yep, I have my Human/Champion Boots, Helm and Chest. They look exactly like the character selection screen Champion.

The chest piece gives you a nice looking tabard that comes with the chest armor which is awesome!

So yea, the Human/Champion Set = Character Selection Screen Set

Cyber commando is definitely not the one in the character select screen. For the helm it's just 2 little eye pieces, and the chest and shoulders are much bigger in terms of armor. Also If I'm not mistaken I believe someone posted a pic of the desecrator's helm ( Human berserker) and It completely covered Baldur's face.
