So, I don't totally grasp the technological concepts. Yes they are advanced.
But where is the food grown, and don't say "man its like the future", the area around them is dead, you need light, soil, and water. Maybe they use artificial light, soil, and water, but I can't see it working out to well.
Thor alone would eat like 3 pizzas.

Heat ice, you get water. Use water and you get hydroponics. Lights can easily be artificial as a good artificial bulb can be better for growing hydroponics than direct sunlight. Marijuana growers do it all the time. It works a lot better.
Now where they get energy? I don't know.

With all that wind in that city, I'd guess advanced large windmills. Also, I bet they have Dams as well with all that constant rain.

Or energy i.e photosynthesis in plants, could that be replicated. Or what about pollination?

I always figured the Aesir are above food and water, but only do it to celebrate the dead or celebrate victory.
you have to remember we only really saw ONE building in that giant city, their methods of mass survival are still a mystery to everyone.

What about pollination?
What about burning humans like coal?

Now THAT is something i support.
maybe the people that question the aesirs' motives?
or maybe just the poor :D

Nah, it's those waitresses on the outskirts of the City Wall. Aesir claim it's the monster, GRNDL, who kills them. But that's obviously a lie. We must join Lokis cause to stop this madness.

I was actually asking him what he was talking about pollination for. I'm guessing now that he meant pollution?

Good idea yet I doubt we'd produce much energy considering we're pretty much already walking waste. If only someone could produce a human powered generator so we don't have to spend so much money on funerals and the dead can give back to the living. We can only dream.

Bear, what you said here^ reminds me of the matrix.
how the machines used the remains of the dead to fuel the pods of the living.
and how our brain power and waste was their main source of energy.

Yeah they have the big feasting hall and everything.... good question. Well, the only vegetation you see is in cyberspace... What if all the food is virtually grown by AI farmers? They till some digital soil, herd some polygon sheep and every harvest Freya pulls a cart of meat and veg, fresh from the Norn's market, out the bowls of the world tree into Asgard. Mimir could then be the auctioneer, to make sure the Aesir make a pretty penny from it all.

pretty sure they do somthing little more advanced then we do today (you know what we do today??)
we take the gententic strand an take out all the genetic flaws... then replace some of the lesser genes with the better genes from other strands to make a supreme gene..
basicly clone that in seeds an then use fertilzaers & whatever else to gentic enhance it...
you know they already clone'd a goat/sheep name'd dolly? (who knows what else)

We have, to date, successfully cloned:
Tadpoles
Carp
Mice
Sheep
Rhesus Monkeys
Guar
Cattle
Cats
Mules
Horses
...
...
...
and a human fetus, however it was not allowed to be implanted in a womb, nor develop, nor be born due to ethical issues.

water: melt ice/ use an artificial substitute (they already use these in hospitals, not much, just if you are on a 'nil-by-mouth' diet for a day or 5, to keep you hydrated)
soil: dig, dig, dig
light: if there isnt enough they could probably use special types of glass to maximise the potential of each 'ray' of sunlight
