I know that exp is shared equally ( different % depending on lvl ) when co-oping , this is true even when one player does not kill a single mob.
However does it work the same way for charm quests?
ex. killing 16000 mobs quest
If does work this way , its cutting the time that it takes to complete a charm in half..
How about activating wells? only the host gets this or both players in the game gets this?

I've learned that actually the HOST gets all of the rewards for the levels. Not loot and all, but they basically unlock the levels for later use. If you wish to access these levels, you either have to host a game and complete the level, or do the campaign. Also, wells do not activate, only to the host.
As for the charm quests, I think that's done on your own. If you are in a co-op match, then you can complete the charm quest, but the kills that your allies get won't add on to your kills. I understand how you feel, I have to find and break 160 containers

This sounds about right. I have 2 charms I'm working on. One is kill 4000 dudes, the other is 800. It didn't go up much after doing World Serpent....so...

The wells ones can be achieved by both players, as can secret areas, etc. The kill ones seem to only go to the person who strikes the killing blow, not both co-op partners. I am not sure though, I will test it out tonight.

Not 100% sure but I believe you get credit for the kills on the charm quests even if you don't do the kill. I have on that is mount 50 trolls and I don't usually mount but I have been getting credit for it.
I also think my mount 50 troll achievement was activated when my coop partner killed a troll.
I know the well one count to both players though.

I'll confirm Purple's assumption.
I have an Epic Charm quest that has me kill 150 trolls. Mainly playing co-op with my buddy, so those Troll kills are shared between us.
