I posted this back in August before the site/forum relaunch. Here it is again.
In short, I loved the gameplay, the RPG customization, and the setting. The story was good but it had some strange holes/ommissions and felt disjointed at times. Some of the level design was redundant and there were some serious camera issues. The lack of a fifth act killed me -- I liked the cliffhanger ending but felt like the game ended way too early. Still, I have a soft spot for this game. I'm playing my third character now.
And that's the key: like a lot of folks I've talked to or read, I think this game has to be played more than once to get the full effect. I think too many reviewers might have rushed through the campaign and never tried another class, let along co-op. Big mistake. For the life of me, I can't understand why this game got hammered by so many critics while Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is getting off easy (the game is full of inexcuseable bugs and design flaws). I hate to think that some game writers had a grudge against Denis Dyack, but it seems like a strong possibility. Anyway, here's my take. Feedback is appreciated.
