Elite vs Epic

Elite(red) and Epic (orange)

Now that being said this setup is different on every site. So what is the correct one. The code book says it the other way and all the websites say it this way. Also their is an achievement for a 7 piece Elite set which has to be red since i had a 7 piece orange and no achievement.

I find this a little confusing because people use the interchangeably in the forums.

Ya i have gotten into the habit of calling legendary (orange) and Epic (Red). I don't think it really matters it is just a name... I call it the color most of the time.

I think the respone 'Legendary' would come from ex-WoW players. The red items are definetly elite items, it says so in idunns lab on one of the info pane's.

I use WoW's grading system; Greens are uncommons, Blues rares, Purples Epics, Oranges Legendaries and with the addition of Reds, which I call elites. :)

[Edit] Then again, I never actually use the proper names when discussing loot, I just call them by color; it's just simpler.

Do you guys know if you have to be at lvl 50 or be playing coop with a lvl 50 to find a red? I got one the other night playing coop with a lvl 50, but I'm lvl 48 and I haven't seen one other than that.

you can find reds w/o being 50, i have several that i got before 50.

You can find them solo or co-op, also there is a red set for 30 and a red set for lvl 50.

Elite is red my friends. There is no 7 peice orange set that I know of. A set has three pages (Red items normaly have sets, look at the bottom it says "Pages 1/3", you click a button to check the next page. Shows the set peices needed / have, and what the bonuses are for how many peices.

Straight from the prima guide:

"Gray: Common
Green: Less common
Blue: Uncommon
Purple: Rare
Orange: Very rare
Red: Elite/epic (unique)"

Epic to YOU. But its truely named Elite.

whatever, i didn't try and correct anyone. There's been so many posts by a couple of people going "actually red=elite". All im saying to those people is stop trying to correct people, just stfu and play the game, as calvin as pointed out both elite and epic are correct.

No to throw more gasoline on the fire, but regardless of what the Prima guide may say, there's a hologram in Idunn's lab that very clearly says, "Elite items are red in color." So...

for some reason i call purple items epic. i guess its just a WoW habit. evertime i say i got an epic people are like no way and i have to correct myself. it probaly gets on my friends nerves when i say that.

Yeah as long as we know what we are talking about. Have you heard anyone saying "oh man i just completed my epic set" and they are meaning orange? We almost always know they are talking about red's (and when we do we have to correct them because we are so hard core :P ).

Sigh, sadly this doesn't clear anything up or maby it does. So from what you typed we are all right. Red is both elite and epic and for a bonus it's also unique...lol. Works for me.
