So, last night I got to play with Denis Dyack and his level 50 Defender. I always though defender/bio combo would rock and we did. Read about it here. (http://www.toohuman.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=459) I have tips there too.

I (he actually) got the Bio's 2 handed staff last night. I was too tired at 2 am to take pics and stuff but will get that up later. I am reserving the first eight post spots to add info about the weapon and armor as I get it and post pics.

The staff is awesome. It has a base of about 2299 damage and I boosted to over 3000 with runes and 2 handed skill. I will post pics of current bio's armor and the staff later.

Thanks to Clips Ahoy for trading me that last four pieces of my Epic Armor set.

After the garm fight, enter the hallway, right before the statue, look to your right, there will be something that looks like a cracked wall, hit it, it's break open and theres the challange room.

quick question... for those Bio Engineers with +Battle Cry damage, does that further increase the damage added by Idunn's Wish? If it doesnt, I see no point in giving Bios +Battle Cry damage, maybe +Battle Cry efficiency

I've received that same staff as well - I got it on solo, after killing Garm.. the Obelisk that lights up behind him near the statue of Hel (focuses on this right after the battle). Managed to get it there.

I too have the the staff and the helm. Been working on getting more pieces as well. I love the proc on the staff. My build is centered around getting as much proc rate as possible (see my build in the BE Builds thread). The staff plus electrified blade and an epic charm of blight as well as an epic charm of necrotization with increased proc rate is ridiculous.

I got my staff in the ice forest during single player, on the platform where you have the cutscene with Hod killing Loki. I went into cyberspace, opened the door behind the throne, and got it off that obelisk. I got the helm on a co-op run through Helheim off of Hel. Where have you guys been finding most of your reds?

I got lucky and found the weapon in Tyr's (makes me feel like I cheated or something =D)

Got the helm doing Conveyor runs. Dropped from a Polarity Spider (the one that hurts your combo meter). What are these mobs called, I thought it was Dark Elves but now I think those are the other ones...

Haha, I found an epic cannon I bought off Tyr, The Incinerating Grief. Bought it cause it was better than my puny orange rifle even though I'm not a huge fan of cannons, still, a very nice cannon though lol.

And the spiders are Dark Elf Leaders. Dark Elves are the green guys that got a lot of HP and use a lot of knockdown attacks as well as some minor ranged attacks. They also have the dark elf assault units that just lay down a lot of fire at you like a elven machine gun of sorts. Then, to top it off, they have the sniper which fires a laser like beam of death at you that can drop your health drastically.

I beat Hel today solo, and she dropped 2, yes TWO red epics. The first was dual weild staffs, and if anyone wants me to post the stats just let me know. The second, however, was the shoulders for my Bio Engineer, so I was pretty pumped. Here it is:

Oh, incase anyone is wondering - I got the epic helm as well (for Cybernetic Tree), it dropped off GRNDL.. soloing again. And I just recently got the boots off him as well, had some luck in Hall of Heroes lately, hehe. Since I didn't see the boots posted - the stats are these:

The human set so far is looking pretty underwhelming... no +health? no +melee damage? I guess they want us to sit back and shoot stuff in co-op or something? At least they seem to have the +armor part right. The two open slots are nice but its not really making up for the lack of everything else so far.

Edit: BTW if you don't need those gloves and want to trade or something let me know. Not sure what I could immediately offer you of equivalent value but I'm sure we can figure something.

Ok, so i have derived from previous posts that alot of Bio Engineers are farming GRNDL for their epic gear. Is there a reason for fighting GRNDL other than the fact that HoH is a shorter level?? Any info would be great.

Yep, you're right, its because its short. The loot tables for the bosses are all the same, they can drop any set piece. HoH takes the least time to do from front to back. If you ignore everything unnecessary you can start at 1-1 and finish killing GRNDL in 20-25 minutes as a BioE.

Also, kinda weird.. i realized that even though its human, it has all of its slots full. I'm not sure if that's because i'm a cybernetic and it affected the drop .. or the slots will open if i trade it over. /shrug. Either way all yours though brother. Yeah, GRNDL is an easy farm and quick to get to, although I will mix it up and clear Helheim here and there as well. Mainly because I'm cybernetic, and I've gotten some Aesir armor there (3 slots empty, one slot with a red enchant) and came out with some nice armor.

Edit: Wow. Just did a Helheim run, and got TWO epics off Hel herself. The leggings, and the shoulders :D. I've seen the shoulders posted already, stats on the legs though are:

Not much to show yet the two big pieces (chest and legs) are still undiscovered.

I can take a few pictures of what I have of the human set today though. The human helm is a 'non helm' which is sorta disappointing, the shoulders seem fairly plain as do the boots. The color is nice though, its sort of a luminescent green mixed with brushed metal... looks good IMO. The deal breaker will be the chest/legs/hands which could set things off... I hope.

I am missing the pants and chest which sort of ruin it since so much of the look depends on them. Sorry for the washed out pictures, its hard to take a good shot of a DLP TV.

I take back what I said about the helm, it is actually pretty cool with the sort of Star Wars themed wrap around thing going on. We shall see what the last two pieces look like. For now the armor is just for show, the stats are not practical to use.

The Valkyrie helm huh. Is that like the same as the starter sets helm for defender that u get if u enter in that code u get from pre-ordering? Im guessing it is, and its a decent lookin helm.

You can make the starting armor. I think it comes at all levels. I have pieces at level 44 and the helm at 50. I still need the boots. I will post a pic of it. Of course it is purple. LOL.

Look for pieces that say Myomer reticulated (sp?) Those are the starting bio armor pieces at the high level.

I might go through the trouble of unspec'ing for base increase info - but as for set pieces if you just look at the first page, all the info is there. If you have any elite piece, you change the page on it (left bumper - right if for changing auto salvage so becareful), there is the set bonuses listed. They highlight once you have them active. So for the Cyber gear set, the bonuses are:

No yeah, that info was really helpful as far as each piece. I guess basically I'm saying I'm too lazy to do the math and figure out what the total would be after all is said and done. I would try to figure it out but with the different +% runes and factoring the -% resistances and what not, that's too much numbers for my head. :-)

It's not a huge deal though if I don't get an answer. I was just wondering.

Ive recently recieved my last set item for the cyber-bio but im very dissapointed with it

the ONLY great bio build is down the middle column and our tree uses the right side ,, YUCK
