So.. I finally died..

.. and I'd say it's only half my fault. See, I was playing with some gung ho champion in Ice Forest. I'd told him over the mic I was out of combo levels, and to take out some of the goblin bombs (the red ones, I just call em bombs) from ranged. Rather than do that he decides it's a better idea to charge in, killing himself nearly instantly and causing myself to be swarmed by them and a barrage of missles. No spider either, btw.

I think it's a lot better when people use the mic, though I know it's not realistic to expect it. Communication is somewhat necessary in this game, though. I mean, I can't tell you how many times someone without a mic will run off into the midst of a battle while Im still adding skill points. I dunno, Im just ranting. Anyone else have an experience like this? This was my first death, btw.

Thats why I dont play with random people. I got a few friends that play so I just play with them and if they arn't on, I just do solo. If you want to start playing with some people that know what they doin', start asking ppl on the forum to join you for co-op.

I remember when i joined my first co-op session. It was a random guy, i think he was a defender like me, but human. We were going for a grendel run, and we did fine until grendel. When grendel himself stepped off his platform, he instantly slided into him. Grendel eployed some sentinels, picked him up and started grinding him. He was dead within seconds. If he had a mic, i would've told him to back up so i could finish the sentinels with a ruiner while he could do an air finisher or just use ranged attacks on Grendel. I haven't died myself, but i basically had to fight grendel myself the whole game, since he kept dying after he respawned (he just kept sliding towards him).

When me and my buddy would play and I'd be the bio, I'd put on soothing +800% or so and then watch as everything would swarm while I made up excuses on why my spider/heals were down.

What kind of weak-arse defender dies to GRNDL? I've never died to GRNDL with any of the classes. The only thing you need to remember is Melee when he is on all fours, Ranged when he's on his hind legs, simple.

This is why I will always leave or kick a person with no mic. It causes deaths and there is no way to tell them that they are missing a hidden area or that you have some gear they might want.
