Right take 2, my first review failed to post and cba to write again so i'm gonna sum it up. I was bored and no one will read this but meh sumthing to do!

Overall I was dissapaointed with this game and wil proably take it back soon and exchange for soething else. Everything seems a bit bugged and not quite right, just not smooth like a game shuld be. Though it has potential and if the sequals can overcome these tething problems of any first game in a series then the sequal shoudl be good.

Graphics - I get the impression everything they drew with pen and pencil looked realy amazing and detailed, yet maybe too complex for a third person where all the views are soo distant everything just meshes into a horrible mess. The graphics was very disapointing as it seemed to be similar to xbox / ps2 games. With horrbile dull and mucky colours it seemed ike they relised this and try to cover it up but have dark colours to reduce the impact which jsut amde it worse. It could be compared to Halo games, but in them the colours are still mechanical but more vivid and crisp and didnt make it seem as 'yucky' can be the word.
Compared to games out Halo3, Cod 4 and espaicly Assasins Creed this gamedoesnt stand out at all in grpahics which is such an imporant part in modern gaming.

Gameplay - For me I found this serverly bugged, it seemed as if they had become so wound up in this amazing world they had created a week before release they suddenly relised they had to make a game. The invible wall system is frustrating as shortcuts jumping over bushs and even small ledges became tedious and annoying as you just bounced off. This took away some of the game plays smoothness and made it seem rushed and poorly thought out.
Another problem was jumping out of blast raduis's, even though you could be in the air or seemed just out side you would be knocked over. This I think is linked to the overall hit detction problem in the game.
The gameplay lacked the feeling of smoothness and didnt flow, this is possible due to too much going on, with all the goblins attacking all the time and so much smashing and shooting from various other creatures i found it would become slightly judery.

Customisation - The games highlight which amd eit feel as your own, though this could be its undoing as too much time may have been focused. There are sooo many varitions you can have hours creating your own ultimate warrior who can either play well or just look good!. Though i think there maybe too many choices as evey level and every five minutes you get an item which you can wear/ relace something else and it does end up becoming a bit frusting epsial when you have something you like, but now find 10 minutes later its total out of date. So armour and weapons are useless stats wise compared to others and create unnessacry clutter and wasted design time, i.e a lvl 30 unlock which is a helmet simlair to that of a lvl 10 unlock. So the customisation factor is fun and the storngest selling point of this game but it did make me feel a bit cluttered and as if they tried too hard, some times simple is the best and people don't like too many choices!

Combat - Folowing on from above, in combat i think it was overodne with way too much going on, swarms of goblins, rockets etc, it just made it seem ver jaggered and rushed. There was little time to think tactaicly and even the most skilled have to proably resort to button bashing which lead to a very unsatisfying feeling as you know anyone could have done that even your cat.
Also very poor as the rifle aiming, suposible you could target scroll with with Rs, but i jsut found you ended spining in circles and shouting angrily. There should have been a target cycle button such as lb so you could point in a genral direction then cyle to target and specific enemy espicaly when you get swarm of normal goblins and those self destructing buggers who you want to shoot but can nvr get a lock on.

Also with the combat it moves where same old same old. What may have spiced it up is a sword swing system similar to Skates flick it, different combinations bring out different move. As all u had to do was left stick right stick forward and maybe throw in a ruiner if your now bored. The potenial of fancy manourvers is there with the variations in class, weapons and armour and the abilty to disarm your enemy by juggling them and forming combos.

Online - Proably the best potenital for this game, i can see this becoming a MORPG, in which you can complete missions together or maybe even fight other clans, with so much variation in the amrour and weaponry you can create your own identity which you want to showoff online. The potenial with the leaderboards i.e Combo scores is great aswell and does create a secondary perpose for the playing the game with friends instrad of just beating it and thats that.

I could write more but i realy cba now as this si second time around, but i may post again if i find i have more spare time as usal!

i will admit, i do think the review is a little harsh (to each his own), but i do really like the idea of using different motions of the attack stick in order to execute different moves instead of simple sword/hammer/staff swings. I will agree on some of the downfalls, but i will keep playing in anticipation of a sequel. a game with this much potential cannot go to waste.

Yah i agree, the potential for the sequal is definatly there and I think will be worth a buy if all the little things are fixed
