Amazing isn't it? This is the new car for the 2010 F1 season. Ferrari named it the "F10", and the presentation had a "anti-spy" climate. Ferrari prohibited people on the presentation to take photos of the car and all the pictures available were approved by Ferrari officials which only shows a overall view of the new car.

Everything to hide from the competition their new double air diffuser specially designed for this season. Remember that the air-diffuser was one of the major polemics of past season.

Go Felipe Massa!!! :)

That's sexy. I want one.

Sometimes I wish I had cable so I could watch the races... but then I remember that Comcast would rape me every month to get their payment. :(

Well this year is a perfect year to watch some F1 races. We have a lot of great pilots from now (Hamilton, Massa, Alonso, Button), great values (Glock, Kubica, Senna) and a great pilot from a near past - Michael Schumacker on the new team Mercedes.

I just can't wait the first grid :) I think Schummy will race "all-win" style

Gorgeous. But why does it say FIAT and not Ferrari anywhere... hehe

Looks like the logo is on the sides i guess

Haha, it is a good looking car... but I'm gonna have to shift my support from Ferrari to Mercedes GP. Michael's my boy. Can't wait to see what he can do in testing, which is coming up shortly.

No no, take a closer look to the picture. Where you read FIAT, bellow, thereīs a yellow box, if you force your imagination you will see the black horse and Ferrari wrote on the bottom of the box, having, at the top of the box, three stripes, red-white-green which is Italy flag collors:

I donīt know if the logo is anyplace around the car but IMHO Ferrai doesnt need much advertisement :)

Edit: Yeah thereīs a bigger logo on both sides of the car, between the front wheels and the air flow intake.

Hahahaha yeah mate I know what youīre talking about and I donīt blame you.

I always loved the ferrari team, the best brazilian driver is with them so this year again Iīm with Ferrari, BUT, I also wish all the best to Schummy, heīs trully special, one of the best all-time.

They should hire Dale Earnhardt Jr. to drive one of their cars.

McLaren also released some pics of their new car, the MP4-25, developed for the 2010 F1 Season. This car will be driven by the latest two Formula1 champions: Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton:

http://f.i.uol.com.br/folha/esporte/images/1002951.jpeg

I don't know... I think that this year, the silver car to be the most shiney on the grid will be Schumacker's Mercedez. Also I don't believe much in Hamilton and Jenson toghether because they're for sure good racedrivers but can they both prepare the car?

Remember that when Hamilton was the champion, in 2008, Fernando Alonso was the one who prepared the cars, and in 2009 when Button was the champ, Rubens Barrichello was the one who set the cars for each course.

Father, good to see you here.

I know that surename, but I guess it was Earl Earnhardt, is there a driver with that name?

The reason why I'm quoting you is that I would like to ask you what was the repercussion of Nelsinho Piquet joining one of the Nascar divisions (I think he'll be driving the pickup trucks), if there was any discussion over Nelsinho being the protagonist of a planned car crash on F1 to give a better position in the grid for his team mate, at the time, Fernando Alonso.

I mean, If I was a pilot who races risking my own life I would not like to race with someone who already created a car accident just benefit someone else in the grid.

Was there any kind of polemic around this subject?

Cheers papa

I honestly don't know. Formula 1 racing is not very popular in the states. It is more of a European and Latin American phenomena, much like soccer. Other than the random Brit on this forum and some others you will probably get few responses on this thread, as they will have no idea who or what you are talking about. I have a general idea as I went to college in the UK, and Top Gear is my favorite show. Most Americans will have heard of Michael Schumacher the way most Europeans know of Brett Favre. "He does somethin with cars I think" is probably the most you can hope for.

Did any of you guys hear about that $300,000 Ferrari that fell off the back of a loading truck? It stood balanced on its rear bumper with the windshield wipers on.

I cringed. Hard.

I cringed when the idiot in Texas was on his celphone, not paying attention, and drove his Bugatti Veyron off into a swamp and sunk it. It was a total loss I believe.

If you don't know, a Veyron costs over a million US dollars.

Just a fun fact, they gave the first factory Bugatti Veyron to Michael Schumacher free of charge.

Random brit reporting for duty.

1) Its not called 'soccer' its called 'football'.
2) Favre plays 'american football', no idea who for or where on the pitch though.

Also, I think that Fiat owns Ferrari, and Lancia for that matter.

Which brings me on to my final point, the car that I'm going to buy.

1) It is called soccer in America. Communist countries call it 'football.
2) Favre is the quarterback.

FIAT indeed owns Ferrarri. However, they own them the same way Ford owned Jaguar and Aston Martin. Which is, "Fix this horrible reliability problem you have, and implement quality control, something British Leyland Motors can't spell much less implement" (Jeremy Clarkson) but other than that, keep making and designing your own cars in your own country.

Cool. One of my buddies at Edinburgh had a Lancia Evolution in college.

Agreed. British Leyland made the worst cars ever. They were good at making lorries and buses though.

Renault delivers a completely different car from past season, different collors with an agressive set of aerodynamic changes. Will be driven by the guys in the pic, Robert Kubica and the rookie Vitaly Petr, the first russian to race in the F1 all-time history. Another picture because the above is covered by these two fine gentlemen:

That McLaren is ugly as hell!

Ugh, I hate the way the cars have been losing their beautiful profile in the design these past couple of seasons. This is much better in my opinion:

http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/images/46155000/jpg/_46155230_ferrari_466_get.jpg

Beautiful, and not because of the colors. I think 2007 was a great year for the design of the cars. I used to be able to point to a Formula One car as not only a technical spectacle, but as almost a piece of art. Now they look terrible. :(

Edit: The Ferrari actually retained a similar look to this car, which is good. At least there's one company with a sense of aesthetics left in F1. :D

Itīs good to see that the old F1 once again shown that is all about reinvent. This vertical wing on the back from the cockpit to the rear wing was used in many occasions.

Itīs the Ferrari 312 B2 from 1972

Personaly I do like more the models as you posted Ender, but it was interesting to see that design on past year Renault and others. I think that the Ferrari remains a bit more conservative on areodynamics, but letīs see how it goes.

Cheers mate

It was Mercedes GP's turn to present their new car for the 2010 F1 Season. The MGP W01 will make it's debut on Valencia this monday, 2nd of January, with Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg making the initial track testing of the teams challenger for the new season.

I think that the new car born under management of Ross Brown, the Mercedes GP W01 has more from past year's McLaren (previous team fully supported by Mercedes) than the past year's Brawn GP car, latest Ross Brown work on F1, the car that gave Jenson Button the world championship victory in 2009.

So, how're yall feeling about Schumacher's return?

To be honest I fell really optimistic and excited. I think that the return of Schumacher only have to add to the F1 seasons to come.

He is one of the trully genius of the tracks and it's public that he only retired because he wanted to give the opportunity to the youngest (aka there's no challenge on this).

Also, Mercedes is coming back after 55 years out of the Formula1, and I don't think that they would risk their image and reputation with a completely disastrous season.

I believe that both Schumacher and Mercedes are coming back to win big.

Cheers mate!

Same. I'm excited to see what Michael does in the Mercedes. It's quite a departure from him, when most of his victories came with Ferrari. He's got the mastermind Ross Brawn behind him, and they have a long, long record of working really well together over the years, so I'm optimistic to see a victory.
