I've looked around and didn't see a thread about this.

I love football and more so college football, tell everyone who you team is and why everyone else team suck, all in good fun. I love my canes; hope we can win the ACC this year. We're looking pretty good and have a top 10 recruiting class again.

I am not a huge college football fan but I definitely don't mind watching a big game on Saturdays. I follow UConn mostly but they have a long way to go to get their football team to a comparative level of their basketball teams. They have come a long way considering they weren't even a D1 program before this decade.

Every year I wait for the BCS contract to end and for the college presidents to stop being dumb so we can have a playoff and an actual NCAA champion instead of ridiculous voting that almost never seems to produce the games it should.

I edited your post, no need to start attacks on fans of other teams self censored or not. Rivalry is fine but that is unnecessary.

No prob. I just wanted to put a little passion in there. But yeah the BCS is a joke college football should have been at a playoff system years ago. I hate it when there co-champs, it make no sense to me.

It is all about money unfortunately. Even though most fans want a playoff, many coaches do, and the media clearly does the college presidents and conference leaders have dollar signs in their eyes.

I just love that they use the academics as an excuse for not going to a playoff when most schools have atrocious graduation rates out of their programs. Like extending the season another 2 weeks will make them spiral down more. Academics isn't a priority for them until they can use it to get out of something they don't want to do. As long as someone stays eligible they could care less about grades in most schools.

The BCS and the bowl system are the main reason I can't get myself to follow NCAA football. If you follow teams and invest your time in the season and at the end there is no actual resolution as to who was the best what is the point.

It would be like having the top 6-8 MLB or NFL teams play 1 game each at random at the end of the year instead of playoffs then deciding what team was the best based on who won those games and the regular season even though the best teams may not have played each other at all and the AL/NL AFC/NFC teams barely play each other.

Dumb.

Do you know when the BCS contract runs out, hope they don't re-sign it. If college extends there season for two more game, there programs can make a little more money, that's another home game for them.

My Gators are gonna win it this year. Have been supporting them for a couple of years now, watching Tebow progress has been amazing.

Also, UNC looks promising.

Teabow is really good, and UNC has Butch who is an awsome coach. It really sucked when he left UM.

BCS is unfortunately not going anywhere.

The only way I see the BCS going away is if someone(s) lays down a bunch of money to buy out the BCS board. This sound completely redonkulus, but hey when the board president, a LSU grad, and three teams from the SEC make it to big bowl game I say something is going on. Most of all the rose bowl needs to go, having a 6th ranked team playing a 13th ranked team is such a waste, all because it's tradition. (All bowl reference were from a couple of years ago).

I'll let this image and simple phrase speak for themselves.

"WE ARE"

I know many people think they're overrated, but I could say the same about MANY other college football teams.

I will say I'm truly sad not to see Notre Dame on our schedule this year. I would have loved to see PSU wipe the floor with them again. :D

Anybody watch any games over the weekend.

OU lost to BYU, OU is overrated... They have a great team they just need to pull together, or BYU is underrated.

Rest of the big 12 looked good.

Alabama, rolltide:D

Well at least it wasn't last game of the season...

Mississippi, California, and Miami, and T. Tebow went down.
All of which made me happy.

i'd like to say bama will go all the way, but as of last weak it's kinda shaky. hopefully they used this by week to get there **** together or else i don't even see them winning the sec :(

Some great games this weekend.

Cincy all ready beat Pitt.

So now #1 Florida vs. #2 Alabama

Vegas is giving Florida by five. Not only will bama cover, they will kick the crap out of Tebow.

My money says so.

Well the Mean Green didn't get completely blown out by Rice tonight.
Game ended 32-31 with Rice on top.

A good game considering the teams, but I'm pretty sure my Mean Green fumbled a good 6 or 7 times...

Oh well we (the band) had a great 9/11 tribute show. Which is the only reason people go to The University of North Texas games anyway (the band that is). :p
