View Full Version : TH.net 2008 College Football Thread
Watching the Crimson Tide absolutely destroy Clemson tonight made me realize we didn't have a college football thread.
7 Days until the Irish take the field again.

Ah man I can't wait for ND to play :D
Last season was quite disappointing.. but a college football expert predicted them to win 11 games this year.

I hope he's right.

Hey redvenom, nice to see you on here.
My friends and I planned a trip to go see that game posted above by Venom.
But, things had to go wrong, and one of the drivers got grounded, and his car taken away...
FAIL.

Thank the T.V. Gods (Prolly Heimdall since he sees everything) that ND has a NBC contract nationally or I'd never get to see them play here in Virginia

I got to watch the terrible Louisville vs University of Kentucky game. Both teams just had absolutely shoddy offense, and Louisville's "seriously pro" quarterback failed to deliver. I'm used to this game being scores like 36/42, not scores like 28/2. UK won, and for that I'm grateful, but it was like two kids flailing at each other on the playground.
Tennessee/UCLA game had some tense moments toward the end, and I still need to rib my friend over Tennessee being an easy win in that game. "It's going to be a terrible game, man. Tennessee is going to walk all over UCLA."
I think my friend has already forgotten what surprises last season had. Michigan's already been reminded, so I'm hoping for another whacky season.

Not a big college sports fan, but its fun to watch when the Pros aren't playing.
Quick note on ND, why all the love? From what I've seen EVERY year the "experts" predict great things from ND, EVERY year they fail.
ND hasn't been a serious contender for the national title for a few years now.

Cuz I'm from Indiana and I grew up with ND

Gotta root for the hometown team. Can't really hate on that.

Michigan i hope looses every game. That said obviously im a WVU guy lol.
WVU all the way. That said i have an born hatred for ND lol. Not a fan of independent schools since they only need nine wins for a bowl game.
WVU for national? Only if we go undefeated, which means our defense needs to fix everything they did wrong against villa lol.
If we lose to ECU this weekend plus? i get tickets a lot cheaper lol.
Also how sad was that lost to Fresno Rutgers had :(
