I am so worn out with the same stories being beaten into the ground, then dragged up to be beaten again in every few days, weeks, or months again. I know ESPN caters to what will get them ratings and page views but I just get so tired of the same old stories being covered and speculated on. Here is my list of stories that could just disappear forever and I would be happier for it. Does anyone else have any they wish would just go away?

*T.O. news - "Update: T.O. tied his right shoe in preparation to prepare to practice for the Buffalo Bills!"

*Pacman Jones, Chad "Ocho Sinco" Johnson, or any other self-entitled moron doing anything outside of intercepting or catching a pass on the field.

*Brett Favre un-retiring for the eleventeenth time, or people speculating on whether he will or not for 20 minute segments on SportsCenter. I don't care if he comes back to ruin another Team's season. He went from one of my most respected athletes to being nothing more than a me first primadonna in the span of half a decade.

*A-Rod or Tony Romo dating anyone, or going on vacation, or walking their dog. I don't care.

*Roger Clemens, Barry Bonds, Sammy Sosa, Palmeiro, McGwire, Manny, every other player under the sun and steroids. I get it, they all did it. I don't care if they get in the Hall of Fame, if they have butt abscesses, or back acne. I don't need to see them branded with a new Scarlet Letter. They did it because the sport let them, hold everyone accountable. Put in good testing and move on, just write off the whole 20 year period from '85-'05 and move on. If they all could have just relaized that you say "I did it and I am sorry" this would all be over by now. MLB should release the other 103 positive names from the first year say it is all done and start fresh.

*Michael Phelps' scrutiny for smoking a bong at a college party. Same with Matt Leinart drinking and hanging out with hot chicks in a hot tub. The horror! 18-25 year old males out partying?!

*Anything relating to Scott Boras or Drew Rosenhaus that doesn't involve the line "was hit by a truck today" somewhere in the story. :p

*The Michael Vick hoopla is really close to making this list for me. All this speculation about him coming back to the NFL wouldn't be anything if they were truthful about it.
"Marginal NFL QB with no accuracy attempts to return to the NFL and lead another team nowhere while getting coaches fired and GMs fired."

This made me laugh hard. I hate those guys. Greedy effing assholes. Exploiting athletes, marginalizing the games...I hate them.

I have actually stopped watching SportsCenter lately because of the recurrance of topics. They used to be great at covering a wide variety of stories. Great stories. Like this high school pitcher and his 5 straigh no-nos. I have switched over to MLB network, and stick with Baseball Tonight. Most broad topics are covered anyways, and my sports section on my Yahoo! page covers it all.

Yeah, pretty much 80% of the stories about Chris Osgood, the Wings goalie. Even the ones that are 'on his side' have this backhanded compliment going for him. The current one on NHL.com is "Osgood proves he's not the Wings weakest link." WTF? Just leave the guy alone.
