Xbox forensics toolkit targets criminal gamers
XFT allows law enforcement to scour console's hard drive
I understand the reason behind this... but to me it just seems there is no privacy at all any more.... :(

IMO if you are under investigation for a potential crime then your privacy isn't all that important to me.. lol.
I don't see anything within this article that would make me feel like anything was being violated. They don't go into my PC remotely either, but if I was under investigation they could easily access it.. This makes sense as well.
I am actually surprized that xbl doesn't monitor the system more.. It is an open door for many activites including criminal. It seems foreign to us now, but it just another adjustment to technology and is nothing to fear.
Law abiding users have nothing to worry about.. HAHA to the rest

I think so too.. no different than seizing anything else you own.. There will likely be warrents and procedure involved.

Its about time they did something. You always here nightmare stories about people getting there accounts hacked by some 14 year old who then goes on to charge 400000 ms points to somebodies credit card which is attached to their account. There needs to be some accountability in the industry. This is something ms has to try to due to protect gamers from theft.

If it helps prevent things like this then I have no probs with it at all. When I first read it I thought it was a constent stream of peoples pics and files but I guess I read it wrong.

In other words, if the cops bust in your door destroy the PC and Xbox hard drives.
