I think it's gonna be an awesome episode. I hope bear acts crazy as hell on it and makes will it some weird "stuff" or at least cut something open and sleep in it. :o

That does sound awesome, but I really like Surviorman more than "man vs wild"

Survivor man is alright but I like man vs wild better. I don't care if gryills has Camera men or not. Both shows are just a form of entertainment. Hell you gotta admire his camera men. They do all the same stuff he does but they have to make the shots look professional at the same time. That's a hardcore job right there.

This should be amusing.
I like them both personally. I think Bear Grylls takes a lot more risk in his show, and actively puts himself in dangerous situations (ie. jumping in to an ice cold glacial pond) to show how one would get out of it. He also shows more dangerous areas, representing plane crashes and ship wrecks, and carries much less equipment, actively being forced to become much more resourceful.
Survivorman does a good job at showing how to avoid those situations altogether, and chooses locations one is more apt to become lost. He gives off a bit of a mellow, hippie vibe though. Survivorman also carries with him a lot more gear because he is showing a different kind of 'lost', whereas you were out hunting and already expecting to spend a day or two in the wilderness.

Yes..Bear Grylls is in "real" danger sometimes...

That's still a pretty bad *** name though.

Survivorman has done a few real life crash type of things. There was one where he was in a plane crash and he "broke his arm" and there was another where he was out snowmobiling and it ran out of gas.
I personally like Survivorman better because he films everything himself and it shows the pyscological aspect of being lost. Whereas Bear has his camera crew to talk to if he gets lonely, Les Stroud (Survivorman) only has his harmonica.
Also I like how Les is more active in technologies that help you from getting lost such as gps and other devices like that. And I like how he is super resoursefull (sp?) when it comes to what he has. Boiling water in a plastic bottle anyone?

Aww come on, a high school physics class will tell you that the plastic won't melt! Oldest trick in the book.
I've seen a few episodes where Les has brought a buddy, so he's not always alone. There is a mental aspect of it though, you're right about that.
I'm not going to defend either one though, I like them both equally, and feel they complement each other well. I mean if they were really trying to compete, would they be run on the same network?

Of course he's a fake. That's not the point. The show is entertaining. If people think the the survivor man guy doesn't have 20 people ready to run out from the bushes and save his *** too there retarded. Both show are "reality" entertainment. Niether of them are actually "lost" :p

It isn't real in the sense the average person couldn't survive using his(Grylls) techniques, during one episode he suggest you toss yourself in a frigid river and risk hypothermia and drowning just to travel downriver a little quicker. In another he suggests you wade through flood runoff with rotting animal carcasses, and then scale a 30 foot nearly sheer cliff wall.
Those are not survival tips for the average person, Survivorman however every tom, dick, and jane across the nation could use to survive. So in terms of quality information, MvW is a rather useless show.

If you are watching either show to get quality information well then, to quote the sites old profanity filter, "your a little slow huh?"

Survivorman does have quality information on survival tricks, and by using them(and even trying new tricks) he demonstrates how effective each one is. Bear Grylls just eats odd things, and takes unnecesarry risks.

And that my friend is why MvW is better :D.
They should have gotten that other guy to go out there as well. I can picute them both jumping out of the helicopter now. "Shake and bake baby woooooo!!!"

It was a good episode but it seemed that they skipped alot of usual stuff. It seemed really quick. It was fun to watch and Im not complaining about it being bad or anything but you could tell that they just did a quick and easy episode for Will.
Although I do not want to be in that weather or do any of that, so Im sure it was not as easy as the camera made it out to be.
