Has anyone on the forum played in a high level of sport?

If so, post here so we can hear about it :)

I was on a box lacrosse (indoor) team 2 years ago, and hopefully this year as well, that is regarded as one of the best in Canada. They won the all Ontario (highest level) in PeeWee (I believe age 12-13), and were the best in Canada, if not the world at that point (Only problem with box lacrosse is lack of popularity outside of Canada). Two years ago, when they were together again, with some key additions (ie: Me :) ), we came 2nd in Ontario, and were pretty disappointed because we lost to a team we could have beat.

Last year, they were the best field lacrosse (outdoor) in Canada (with some older players), probably one of the best world wide.

Anyone else have some high level sports to share about?

I never played anything organized (except leagues) after high school. I was an all state sprinter in track for a couple years, with a few school and state meet records. I also had the Defensive Player of the Year award for volleyball at my high school named after me, which was kind of cool. Everyone who has won the award since my graduation gets my name on their trophy with theirs. :D

I also played, basketball growing up, football, and about 10 years of baseball in leagues, a lot of court volleyball leagues, and beach as well. I played on a ton of all-star and regional baseball teams but we never went too far into "the second season" of baseball.

I used to be on the soccer rep team for my city. We played during half times of the main city league usually and got to travel to places too. We finished 5th once overall in Ontario one year, but I've stopped playing.

Everyone is overly competitive here and plans on playing soccer as a main career. Not to mention we had practices every day, so I'd wait around in town till 5 or 7 then not get home till 9-10. Plus my school work, it was just too much for me. I'd rather take my time and not be tired then have to rush everything just for something I do for fun mostly.

Seriously though, I am a scratch golfer and I hope to go pro after college. I really want a scolarship. I guess I shouldn't worry about that stuff for another 2 years.

Anyways, I made my lacrosse team.

We are currently 2-0, and hope to win it all this year (it's our last minor year).

We have some 42 games in the months of May, June, July, and August.

Looks to be a great season :)

Played on one club soccer team that was ranked 7th in the state, and my school team got to semi-state.

I also played on a basketball team that almost beat Eric Gordon (ranked 2nd as the second best player out of high school the year he graduated, and was drafted in the top 5, they were the reigning state champs), and then won our AAU championship(different league) the following year.

Football and basketball were my sports.

Now I just play in a flag-football league with some friends...which I'm really start to hate.
