As the title says, this is the place to recommend podcasts. Please provide links, and short description.

Common Sense - Political podcast that likes to think of itself of using common sense, and not left or right. I completely agree with that. It isn't right or left winged, and to me it seems Dan Carlin, the host, does use common sense. Usually posts a new show every week to 10 days.

Hardcore History - Made by the same guy above, it is a history based show that tries to take a different look at history. He can be slow to post a new show, usually only about once a month.

Sessler's Soapbox - I know there are at least a few others who watch these weekly. They are a weekly vidcast made by Adam Sessler about his opinions on happenings in the gaming industry. Some can be hilarious, and some can be incredibly insightful.

A Life Well Wasted - A monthly podcast that takes a look at gaming culture in general. It is more of an artistic, documentary kind of feel to it instead of a news opinion show.

The History of Rome - This is a history show about Rome, from the beginning from before the republic, until the end. At the moment it is only to the second triumvirate, but you can go back and listen to every episode. It is usually a weekly podcast.

Sarcastic Gamer runs very good podcasts. Good for gaming news and the like. They're the ones responsible for that Battlefield: Bad Company DLC hooplah and boycott, and they do some parody videos as well. All in all, I really enjoy listening to these guys talk about games. They've got a variety of shows: Red and Orange (Mon and Wed respectively) cover general gaming stuff (a but light on the PS3 news, though), Blu is PS3/Sony only, pretty much, and the Pink show covers gaming from a female perspective. They also have community casts, which are podcasts submitted from the SGC, the Sarcastic Gamer Community (not Stargate Command). It's a very active community, and one of the better ones I've found on the net (just like TH.net). The podcasts are available on iTunes and Zune, as well.

Great thread, Eleazar. I'm subscribed to Dan Carlin's Hardcore History as well, and enjoy that show. Thanks for the recommendation for History of Rome though, I'll be listening to this as soon as I get them all downloaded.

I listen to many gaming podcasts, Rebel FM, Geekbox, all of which I would consider mainstream. They are easy enough to find should you not know them or have them subscribed.

Out of the Game is a podcast with hosts Robert Ashley, N'Gai Croal, Shawn Elliott, Jeff Green, and Luke Smith. It's not done in a studio with face to face communication, so it has its awkward moments where people either keep accidentally overriding each other, or overly long, overly cautious awkward pauses. Regardless, I love the minds involved in this podcast, and they offer up a really good viewpoint on their various videogame discussions.

Great to listen too, I just love Kevin Smith's ramblings.

Thanks Ender, All of those guys are extremely cool people in the gaming industry. Luke Smith is one of my favourites.
