I remember all my friends telling me 300 was Directed by Frank Miller. I also heard some people say Frank was making the Watchmen.. ???.. Silly people.

Frank Miller writes graphic novels.. Zach Snyder directs films.

Before 300 got him really noticed he did this remake of Dawn of the Dead, that I, as a massive Romero fan and Zombie movie fan in general, was completely blown away by. I can honestly say I couldn't have remade this movie better myself.

With all the chatter about Watchmen I had to watch Dawn of the Dead again. Snyder is quickly becomming one of my favorite (new) directors. His take on the original was truly impressive. I listened to the commentary ( a feature I really love) and he was very informative and seemed to have great vision. 300 was great, and I am hearing good things about The Watchmen as well.. I look forward to the films he has in production also. (notables are a 300 sequel and a Heavy Metal film)

EDIT: he is one of a few directors "rumoured" to direct Heavy Metal, not official.

Here's hoping his rendition of Heavy Metal is much better than the "sequel". What a pile of trash that was.

they have a pretty impressive list of directors "potentially" making it.. So yeah, here's to hoping..
