Wow, some of the things he says are pretty stupid...

Boxing is one dimensional while there are a lot of dimensions in MMA. I don't think it would be a hard transition from MMA to stand-up boxing because of my fighting style."

kimbo is a brawler which is stand up and fight so i don't see how much different it would be, he was trained by the best in MMA though so i don't know.

Kimbo is a circus sideshow and little more.. I can't take him too seriously as a professional...ummmm... fighter? A mean dude who works out and has good training because someone realised he'd draw an audience.. just like Tyson did in the later part of his career. :rolleyes:

I want to see him fight brock lesnar so lensar could look truly pro!.. I kid... but you know what.. I'd love to see him fight Forrest Griffen. I don't know why I just think it would be cool to see...

In a couple months Kimbo Slice will be looking to fight a bear or a pack of rabid kittens if it will get him some more publicity and keep his name semi-relevant. Can't stand him, over-hyped youtube product.

He's an "MMA fighter" I guess.. :rolleyes: He started making backyard brawl videos that ended up with a "cult" like following which somehow earned him a job in MMA entertainment. :D

Super overhyped. Listen to the broadcasters and announcer, "a street fighting icon" etc etc.

The idiot announcer actually called this "The most incredible victory in the history of mixed martial arts" because someone beat an overhyped 3-0 hack with no real technique. As it was he got to 3-0 because they only put him against stand up brawler style fighters. He was more of a Buttterbean style ToughGuy fighter than an actual MMA guy. He was supposed to fight Shamrock but ended up fighting this guy, who moved up in weight class to get to him, iirc.

Those jackass announcers were the reason I couldn't watch EliteXC.

Sorry if I was overly hard on poor Kimbo.. He's a tough guy.. But as Maawdawg said.. No real technique.. a hack.

Agreed on those terrible terrible announcers as well. These positions should not be filled with use of a voice talent agency, lol.

Elite was onto something with the female MMA though, it was a whole other angle. It could have been the GLOW (old wresting reference) of WWE (UFC) of mixed martial arts. Some more competition would have been good for the UFC though. Too bad Elite folded so fast.

There just doesn't seem to be a deep enough talent pool of female MMA fighters. Gina was a lot of fun to watch. I think that BoDog fighting or whatever its called sometimes has female fights as well.. nothing too impressive.. yet I hope.

I was going through web sites the other day and found a female wrestling thing that is pretty close to MMA. Its pretty cool.

But the girls start out in tiny suits and anything goes. At the end of the match the one who wins gets to *beeeeep* the other one. :o
