Site update

Despite a great deal of work over the last two days in trying to repair the forums, the overwhelming traffic and post volume over the last week has taken such a toll that we have had to shut down the message boards and start back up using a more full featured and stable system. While this means our current users will need to register with the site again, this change will help us add some much needed features that are expected from major gaming forums. The change will give us some added flexibility as we transition from Too Human's development process, to post-release coverage, and beyond with future sequels and other Silicon Knights games.



Thank you again for bearing with us as we make the upgrades, I promise that it will be worth it.

I've been reading posts from this site for a few weeks, and just decided to register today. I have one question about the site update though. Will you restore the whole Too Human theme?

Just noticed a new feature when you try and reply to a topic and someone has replyed at the same time, it stops you so you can read it. Something so simple but so amazing :)

Oh wow. The new forum looks like it will be great once we get it back up and running. Don't worry guys Hannar and everyone will do as much as we can to turn this plain board in something more like the old forum.

Samski it looks like you really need to work on those medals now so that we can help to recognize all the older posters. I can't believe all those posts and message might be gone, but hopefully this will be a much more stable board for the many years of TH to come. Woo Hoo.

I like the new feel, sad lost alot of the post but in the end it should be good. Can't wait for a TH theme to it. Hopefully you guys can get the front page back too.

The basic template style we are using will change drastically soon. This will look like TH.net again. And a redesigned front end is on the way. I'll be restoring as much content as possible, and doing some things for the veterans.

I have created and been the admin of similar websites using this phpbb software or what not, so if you need any help or anything I will be more than glad to help. Would be nice if you gave us more color scheme options (sub black I think is a decent one). Otherwise, damn it I have to start my post count credibility all over again >.<

Hannar said they will be adding custom skins, or some form of personal customization so i really cannot see what they produce:D :D

I for one, am glad we switched to phpBB3, instead of that Joomla! board. Not that I didn't like the look, I just think this is easier to use :)

Hanar, I was only apart of the old website for a few days. But being here has a great feel of improvement! Overall feel of quality is great! We were moved to a new phpbb board, a lot more stable! The old board had a few glitches and bugs which over time got on your nerves!

Currently Missing the Front Page, Too Human Wiki links and Article Section.

I like the new look. Plus these boards aren't all cramped and tiny feeling like the old boards.

Edit: Though there does seem to be a small problem with the new look in that the font color for the buttons needed to preview, submit, etc, is the same as the background.

All this is unacceptable to be quite honest, if you have a domain [actualgamename].net/com then you need to plan accordingly, this should be taken more seriously than a blog site with 9.99 opensource hosting. Why? becuase people are pouring their time and effort into posting information to help other people and its a kick int he chops to have all the posts dissapear because of poor planning or inexperience.
